Breaking the stigma around therapy

I’ve been having conversations lately about the misunderstandings surrounding mental health and therapy; it’s striking how many people still feel embarrassed to seek help, despite the growing awareness. I believe it’s crucial for us to share our experiences and encourage open discussions to normalize these feelings. Has anyone had a transformative experience with a therapist that helped shift their perspective?

, this drives me nuts too! I once hesitated for months to start therapy because I thought it was just for people in crisis. Finally taking that step was huge for me, and I realized sharing my journey made others feel more comfortable opening up as well.

I totally get where you’re coming from about the stigma. I used to think therapy was only for people in crisis, but my first session helped me see it as just a way to understand myself better. Investing time and being open to vulnerability can really change how we view our mental health; sharing stories like this can make a big difference — thanks for bringing it up.

Sourdough really does require patience, but I think a key step is to monitor the dough temperature.

I’ve noticed that using a cold proofing method in the fridge really enhances the flavor of the sourdough… It takes a bit longer, but the tang you get is worth it. @kberry553, have you tried this method?
