Enhancing research rigor in clinical settings

I’ve been exploring ways to incorporate more rigorous experimental designs into our clinical practices, particularly focusing on randomized controlled trials… With the growing emphasis on evidence-based practices, I’m curious about methods others have found effective in balancing the demands of clinical work with the need for robust data collection and analysis. Any thoughts or resources on this?

Incorporating mid-session check-ins can really help balance clinical demands with data collection. For instance, I started using a simple survey at the end of each session to gauge client progress, which only takes about five minutes. It not only aids in gathering robust data but also keeps the focus on client needs — something I learned from @DrSmith’s recent webinar on evidence-based practices.

I’ve found that setting aside 10 minutes at the end of each week to review client progress using outcome measures can really streamline the data collection process. It not only helps keep everything organized but also gives me insight into how effective our sessions are. I’d love to hear how others manage the ongoing data analysis alongside their clinical work.
